Helen Victoria Murray is interdisciplinary.

Helen writes across fiction, poetry and criticism. She is interested in weird houses, obsolete formats and bodies with intangible boundaries.

As a researcher, Helen specialises in Victorian Studies. She has written on Neo-Victorianism, Pre-Raphaelitism, Photographic History and Celebrity Studies.  She  is  an  experienced heritage professional, who  has worked  in a range of archives and museum  collections.

Helen  is  Research Associate  in  Victorian  Cultural and Material History at  Lancaster  University.  She has previously worked in  Archives and Collections at The Glasgow School of Art.

Her creative work unites with her academic research through core themes of temporality, materiality and embodiment.
